Assessments Australia has been providing independent assessment services for in excess of 10 years to State and Federal Governments and not-for-profit entities throughout Australia.

Assessments Australia has developed a network of over 2,900 psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, nurses and other specialists to deliver standardised and non-standardised assessments and support planning services.

MAX Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of MAXIMUS, has acquired Assessments Australia to enhance its capability within Australia’s healthcare services sector, and to use the business as a platform to become a key provider of services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (“NDIS”).

Ian Bamford, one of the Founder’s of Assessments Australia, commented “Assessments Australia’s web based, proprietary systems have been developed over many years to assist Government and third party healthcare organisations deal with rapid changes in regulation, workforce recruitment, training and management. The business is exceptionally well positioned to capitalize on the $19 billion in Government funding involved in the roll out the NDIS.”

Assessments Australia was advised by M&A Partners. Antony Lynch, a Director within M&A Partners, commented “We identified early on the strong strategic fit of the business with MAXIMUS, as they sought to enter the independent assessment sector within Australia, following recent similar moves in the USA and UK. We believe that Assessments Australia brings a significant assessment services and support planning capability to MAXIMUS and their Australian subsidiary MAX Solutions.”
